The Breath of Life
The Breath of Life Retreat is a restorative immersion in the wisdom of the body and the deeper life force that supports healing and renewal from within.
In this work, the Breath of Life does not refer to the physical breath, though the breath can help us settle and become more present. It points to a deeper organizing intelligence, the living rhythm that helps the body restore balance and return to center.
At the heart of this retreat are three energies of renewal.
Stillness is the quiet neutral center where the body can settle, listen, and reorganize.
Yang is the outward-moving energy of clarity, action, and completion.
Yin is the receptive energy of softening, receiving, letting go, renewal, and returning inward.
So much can change when we stop forcing.
Many of us live from responsibility, service, devotion, and care for others. These are beautiful qualities. Yet over time, the body may begin to carry the cost of moving faster than it can restore itself.
When you slow down enough to sense the pace and rhythm of your own being, and allow yourself to be guided by it, something begins to shift.
You may notice
- A sense of stillness, presence, and inner balance
- Greater ease in softening, receiving, and letting go
- Renewed energy, clarity, and freedom to move forward without force
- A steadier way of meeting change
- A stronger connection to yourself, your heart, and the source of healing within
- A loosening of the inner drive that leads to burnout
- A felt sense of renewal and fulfillment
In Daoist wisdom, there is a principle called wu wei, often understood as unforced action or moving with the grain of life. It does not mean doing nothing. It means learning to stop pushing against the deeper rhythm and allowing action to arise from a more natural place.
This retreat is an invitation into that kind of listening.

Candice Sinai, BCPP, RPE, SEP
Movement was my first language. I studied ballet on scholarship with the Pittsburgh Ballet, began practicing yoga in 1967, and completed a three-month residential training in yoga and meditation. For more than 50 years, movement and stillness have been the foundation of both my personal journey and professional calling.
After 30 years in private practice, integrating somatic bodywork, trauma healing, movement education, Polarity Therapy, and meditation, a latent virus and years of overdoing required me to close my healing center. The decade of recovery that followed reshaped my understanding of health, resilience, and how the body communicates.
Slowing down became essential. It was the only way the healing energies could get in. Those years taught me to listen differently and to rebuild from the inside out. Regenerative Somatics emerged from that period of profound change.
The Breath of Life Retreat grows out of that work. It offers a restorative immersion in the deeper rhythms that organize life, inviting participants into movement, breath, sound, stillness, and inner listening as pathways to renewal from the inside out.
The Breath of Life Retreat also complements the Inner Oasis. Where the Inner Oasis offers a steady, supportive way to build these practices into daily life, the retreat gives people a chance to experience them more deeply. It creates space to slow down, listen within, and reconnect with the restorative currents that can renew both life and practice.
Testimonials
Candice is an extraordinary woman: authentic, tender, loving, and completely present, a rare commodity. Her dedication to helping people spiritually, emotionally, and physically is profound. Working with her, both privately and professionally, has been an honor, and it has helped me move through many barriers that were keeping me from living a life of joy.
Candice is also a gifted presenter. Her retreat guides us into an understanding of the movement of energy within. I highly recommend her.
Victoria Lichtman – Founder, The Power Of Forgiveness
A 3-day restorative online retreat with Candice came as a quiet storm.
Taking time for wellness amidst daily life and family demands felt almost impossible. Through her gentle, strong guidance, I was able to stay present for the meditations and teachings and create space for the practices we did on our own.
It nourished my soul and brought clarity to my being, dreams, and intuition in daily life. Her one-on-one online healing support would deepen and further anchor this.
Iris Kiewiet – Artist, Illustrator, and Educator
I entered Candice Sinai’s retreat needing a break from dealing with life on a surface level and wanting to renew a deeper link with life itself. The exercises that complemented the theory helped make those connections. In addition, the exercises were simple enough to be practiced in any environment. I’ve always responded well to simplicity, and this retreat was no exception.
Throughout the weekend, the exercises increased in depth despite their continued simplicity, so I was able to restore a refreshing, natural connection with life. As an unexpected bonus, I renewed my connection with nature, which had waned in recent months.
Candice’s work is exceptional in how it offers each person complete freedom to participate in the weekend-long experience at any level that feels comfortable, while still creating a genuine personal connection with her. I highly recommend the retreat as a deeply satisfying and restorative weekend.
JM – Screenwriter
Candice has a soft, soothing voice that seems to radiate love. Although I entered the weekend feeling stressed about things in my personal life, by the end of the weekend, I was resting on a cloud of pure love.
Janiece Tobey – Reading and Dyslexia Tutor
Candice is a kind and powerful guide for physical, emotional, and mental clearing that leads to freedom. She knows how to listen to the heart, and she herself embodies a wide-open, sacred space. I always feel both held and expanded in her presence.
