Life is always moving through us.

There are times for spaciousness and possibility, times to move and act, times to soften and flow, and times to settle, gather, and rest.

These are some of the natural rhythms through which life moves in us.

In Rhythms That Restore Us, we’ll explore these living rhythms through the Five Elements: Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth.

With the elements as our guide, we’ll practice recognizing these rhythms in ourselves, noticing how one movement influences another, and sensing what is most life-giving and ready to be followed.

Through breath, awareness, gentle movement, healing sound, and reflection, we will explore what becomes possible when we listen for and move with these rhythms, rather than forcing the next thing to happen.

Come with a spirit of exploration.

  • This series is for anyone who gives a great deal to others and is ready for time to slow down, rest, and restore.
  • For those who want to feel more at home in their body and are curious to explore new ways of moving and listening.
  • For those tired of pushing through and curious about what becomes possible with less effort.
  • For those moving through stress, change, or a demanding season of life and wanting space to pause, move, and restore.
  • For those curious about their body’s wisdom and what they might discover by listening more deeply.
  • For coaches, therapists, and other helping professionals who want to deepen their skills in somatic awareness, embodied presence, and working with the body’s natural capacity for regulation and restoration.

Each class explores our natural rhythms through one of the Five Elements, helping us recognize how they move through our bodies and everyday lives.

Although we explore one element at a time, no element moves on its own. Over the six weeks, we’ll begin to notice how these rhythms meet and influence one another within the larger movement of life.

As we become more aware of these movements, we’ll practice sensing the most life-giving currents to move with. Sometimes that may mean moving forward. At other times, it may mean slowing down, pausing, or returning to stillness before the next movement begins.

Week One: The Ether Element

Rhythms of Spaciousness

We begin with Ether, creating space to listen more deeply. Through quiet awareness, breath, gentle movement, healing sound, and reflection, we’ll explore spaciousness and what becomes perceptible when we become quiet enough to notice.

Week Two: The Air Element

Rhythms of Movement

Air invites us to experience movement, mobility, and responsiveness.

Through breath, awareness, and gentle movement, we’ll explore how movement arises, changes, and finds its way through the body with greater freedom and ease.

Week Three: The Fire Element

Rhythms of Transformation

Fire brings us into relationship with energy, activation, and change.

We’ll explore how energy gathers, rises, expresses itself, and completes, and what changes when we allow that movement rather than continually pushing it forward.

Week Four – The Water Element

Rhythms of Flow

Water invites us into fluidity, adaptability, and release.

We’ll explore what happens when we soften enough to feel where movement wants to go, allowing it to unfold, change direction, and find its own completion.

Week Five – The Earth Element

Rhythms of Support

Earth brings us into relationship with support, weight, gravity, and rest.

We’ll explore what changes when we allow ourselves to be supported, giving movement time to settle and the body time to gather itself again.

Week Six: Integration

No Element Moves on Its Own

Throughout the series, we’ve explored each element individually. But no element moves on its own.

In our final gathering, we’ll explore how these elemental rhythms meet, influence, and support one another, bringing the practices together into one simple movement sequence.

About Candice Sinai

Movement and stillness have shaped my life since childhood, from the joy of childhood play to sitting quietly beneath a tree and listening.

Those early threads led me into yoga and ballet, and eventually into decades of exploring movement as a form of expression, energy, awareness, and healing. A long healing journey with ME/CFS deepened my understanding and taught me firsthand the importance of what it means to listen to the body and work with, rather than against, its rhythms.

The Inner Oasis grew from these experiences and from my trust in the body’s inherent capacity for health and renewal. My teaching brings understanding and direct experience together, while leaving room for each person to find their own way into the practice.
