The past couple of months were a time of rest and preparation as I got ready for my presentation at the American Polarity Therapy Conference in Desert Hot Springs, CA. It was a meaningful milestone: my first in-person class since my health challenges, and the nearing end of my husband Joe’s cancer treatments. It was a lovely reminder of the hope and strength that can emerge along the path of recovery.

This experience also offered a new kind of stretching: one that moves toward expansion without abandoning self-care. I’ve been listening more closely for how to catch the tides of the inner rhythm of life and to the messages of my body.
And yet, beneath all of that, I could feel that something in me still needed more care. One night, I had a dream in which I followed the taproot of a project dear to my heart. Deep in the earth, I found a bulb beginning to wither, a sign that it, and I, needed more care and attention.
I took that to heart. After the conference, I gave myself more spaciousness: extra time for contemplation, my morning practices, and moments of joy.
Two weeks later, I saw the root and bulb again. This time they were sparkling with vibrancy, and I knew I was ready to return to my work with renewed energy and purpose.
This feels like a gentle reminder to trust our inner messages and listen more deeply to what we truly need. When we do, we nourish the roots that allow us to flourish.
With love and renewed energy,
Candice
