There’s something about a child caught in a moment of wonder, eyes wide, body still, the usual restlessness softened, that reminds us stillness is already here, waiting to be noticed. Something in that pause feels so natural, and life seems to settle into itself.

What moments of wonder have brought stillness to you? A sunrise. A walk in the woods. A conversation that touched something real. These moments may seem small, but they are not nothing. They are often the places where the body begins to settle and something deeper becomes easier to notice.
The Stillness That Heals
In a world that asks so much of us, stillness might seem small or easy to overlook. It can seem unproductive, or like something we will get to later
when everything else is handled. Yet again and again, I find that it is one of the places where healing begins.
It gives the nervous system room to settle and reorganize, and it helps us hear what the body has been trying to say.
What we find there is not emptiness, but a different kind of presence. The body begins to remember what wholeness feels like, even when it has been a long time since it felt that way. A deeper sense of safety begins to emerge. Spaciousness opens. What has been held tightly begins to loosen, and the body finds its way back toward balance.
Stillness is a bridge to where life meets us. It’s one of the places where the deepest restoration becomes possible.
A Simple Practice
Is there a place in you that has been feeling stuck or held? Try this:
Pause for one minute. Notice where stillness is already present in your body, even a small pocket of ease or quiet. Then gently bring that presence to the place that is hurting or asking for attention.
You do not have to fix it. Just let the stillness touch it.
Going Deeper Together
